Time for a game plan for this new project! I have never done a speedrun before, so these past few days I have been doing some research and a lot of reading. There’s so much to figure out, but first things first… Time to pick a game!
FINAL FANTASY VII VERSUS FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE
I love Final Fantasy VII! I would love to speedrun this game, but to be honest… I don’t know how to get save states to practice on my Playstation 5. Final Fantasy VII Remake would allow me to use chapter select to practice. And I could use the chapters as splits. I know these aren’t the splits used by most speedrunners, but for now it’s all about the journey and this feels like the right way for me to start.
TIME TO FIND A TIMER!
You can’t speedrun without a timer, so the next step is to find a timer and create a design for it! I love graphic design, so this should be a fun break from all the research and reading! Also: this is the perfect opportunity to create a new overlay for my speedrunning streams!
